Honey-Soy Sauce Chicken is a lovely sweet-and-sticky meal of a simple marinated chicken. A citrus salad is a refreshing combination of flavors.

Ingredients:
  • For the chicken
  • 2 tsp. Ginger, minced
  • 3 Cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  • 1,5 lb. Chicken drumsticks
  • For the salad
  • 1 tsp. Lime zest
  • 2 tsp. Orange zest
  • 3/4 cup Orange segment
  • 5 oz. Mixed salad
  • 1/2 tbsp. Lime juice
  • 2 tbsp. Olive oil
  • 1/2 tbsp. Light soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp. Orange juice
  • Ground salt
  • Ground black pepper

In a bowl, add ginger, garlic, honey, and soy sauce, mix well, and pour on the chicken legs in another bowl then marinate for 1 hour.

Arrange the chicken on the sheet and pour the marinade on top, then bake for about 30 minutes at 375ºF / 195ºC, turning the chicken frequently, until cooked.

Meanwhile, grate the zest of orange and lime and set aside, peel the oranges and segment the orange and set the segments of orange aside.

In one large bowl, put the mixed green and orange flesh into it then toss a little bit. Mix the zest of lime and orange, soy sauce, the juice of orange and lime, olive oil, salt, and pepper in another bowl, then pour the dressing into the salad and toss it.

Place the salad and chicken on the plate, sprinkle with the sesame seeds and serve.
