The aromatic herbs of ancient times can certainly make a great cuppa, and the therapeutic qualities are endless. My sleepy tea concoction is a complimentary caffeine-free blend designed to relax, calm the mind, and ease stress and anxiety. The freshly steeped blueberry and lemon zest infusion will give your immune system a boost and adds a wonderful, vibrant flavor to this delightful nighttime tea blend.

Ingredients:
  • Blueberry Infusion
  • 2 cup Fresh (or frozen) blueberries
  • 1 large Lemon zest and juice
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1/2 cup Sugar (optional)
  • 1/2 cup Tea mix
  • Tea mix
  • 1/2 cup Camomile flower
  • 1/2 cup Lemon balm tea leaf
  • 1 cup Peppermint tea leaf
  • 1 cup Purple passion fruit flower
  • 1/2 cup Hibiscus flower
  • 1/2 cup Valerian root (optional)
  • 1 qt. Boiling water
  • Garnish
  • Fresh mint

In a small saucepan, bring the water, blueberries, lemon zest to a boil. Let boil for 10 minutes then press through a fine sieve. Mix in lemon juice. If sweetening, add sugar and bring to a simmer, whisking to dissolve (2 minutes). Allow cooling.

Measure each ingredient and mix in a large bowl. Place in an airtight container for up to a year. For one cup of water, use 1tbsp of the mix for a strong cup of tea (2t for lighter tea).

Boil water for tea and set up teapot/tea bags. Allow steeping for 2 minutes. Add the desired amount of blueberry infusion, fresh mint garnish, and relax!
