This Sizzlin’ Spicy Beef StirFry is quick and easy to make with beef, chicken, or shrimp. The cool thing about stir fry is that it’s one of the most flexible meals you can make. You can pretty much toss in whatever combination of veggies and meat.

Ingredients:
  • 10 oz. Beef Flank Steak
  • 1 tbsp. Soy Sauce [Marinade]
  • 0.5 tsp. Sugar, a Pinch [Marinade]
  • 1 count Egg [Marinade]
  • 0.5 tbsp. Corn Starch [Marinade]
  • 1 tbsp. Cooking Oil [Marinade]
  • 3 oz. Green Twist Pepper and Red Chili Pepper
  • 1 oz. Red Mexican Pepper
  • 2 tbsp. Shaoxing Wine
  • 5 oz. Edamame
  • 7 oz. Extra Firm Bean Curd
  • 2 tbsp. Chef Made Assorted Aroma Oil (See ''Chef John Signature Oil'' Video)
  • 1 tbsp. Minced Garlic
  • 1 tsp. Oyster Sauce [Seasoning]
  • 1 tbsp. Soy Sauce [Seasoning]
  • 0.25 tsp. Sugar, a Pinch [Seasoning]
  • 0.5 cup Water
  • 1 tbsp. Water + Corn Starch

Shred beef against the grain.

In a mixing bowl, combine the beef marinade and shredded beef, and toss to coat.

Cut green and red pepper into fine strips.

Cut baked soybean cake into fine strips.

Oil blanch beef strips. Drain.

Stir-fry green and red pepper over high heat, and sprinkle a little cooking wine while stir frying. Take out as soon as you can smell the pepper aroma.

Water blanch baked soybean cake strips and edamame, and rinse with cold water. Drain.

In the wok with heated oil, add minced garlic, and cook until fragrant. Then, add oyster sauce, soy sauce and sugar; mix well; add about 1 tablespoon of water; stir in edamame and baked soybean cake strips, beef strips, and green and red pepper strips. Mix well.

Thicken with water and starch slurry. Drizzle a few drops of sesame oil.
