Recipe
PRE TIME: 10 min
COOKING TIME: 20 min
TOTAL TIME: 30 min
4 SERVING
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb. Flank steak
  • 1 tbsp. Cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp. Soy sauce
  • Olive oil
  • 1 Large Onion
  • 2 Large Broccoli heads (4 cups)
  • For the sauce:
  • 1/2 cup Beef stock
  • 3 tbsp. Soy sauce
  • 4 Cloves Garlic (I like a lot of garlic, feel free to use less)
  • 1 tbsp. Chopped ginger
  • 3 tbsp. Brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. Corn starch
Directions:
1
Cut flank steak. Make sure you cut it across the grain because they get really tender when they cook when you cut it this way. Once you've cut up your meat go ahead and transfer it into a large bowl then we're going to add some soy sauce and cornstarch go ahead and mix everything together until very well incorporated then set aside.
2
Heat up some oil in a pan over medium-high heat once the oil gets very hot go ahead and add the meat arrange the meat in a single layer and let it cook on medium-high heat for about two to three minutes.
3
After two or three minutes go ahead and toast the meat together and let it cook for about a minute until it's no longer pink. Make sure you don't overcook the meat otherwise it's going to get really dry and chewy. Once your meat is fully cooked go ahead and remove from the pan and set aside for later.
4
Next in the same pan add some more oil then saute some onions, allow the onions to cook until they get translucent.
5
Then add some broccoli I'm going to cook the broccoli for about three minutes I like my broccoli a little crunchy, so cook yours until they are as soft as you want them.
6
Put together the sauce. In a bowl put some beef stock into that, add soy sauce, also add some minced garlic and ginger, some brown sugar, and cornstarch and whisk it all together.
7
Transfer the sauce into the pan as soon as the broccoli is cooked.
8
Next, go ahead and add the cooked steak then mix everything together. Cook this for about three minutes to bring all the flavors together and to let the sauce thicken.

Enjoy!
