Stir-Fried Beef With Tomato is tasty meat with tomatoes, easy but full of flavor, and can be eaten with rice, pasta, basically anything under the sun!

Ingredients:
  • 1 Lb. Strip Steak
  • 1 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Light Soy Sauce (marinade)
  • 1 Tbsp Cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp Cooking Oil (1 tbsp marinade, 1 tbsp saute)
  • 1 Large Tomato
  • 2 Tbsp Ginger
  • 2 Tsp Dark soy sauce (stir fry)
  • 1 Tbsp Cooking Wine
  • 3 Tsp Sugar (2 tsp marinade, 1 tsp saute)
  • 1 ½ Tsp Salt (½ tsp marinade, 1 tsp saute)
  • 1 Tbsp Cornstarch and water
  • 1 ½ Tbsp Scallion
Directions:

Butterfly the strip steak. Cut into long strips, then into cubes. Marinate with oyster sauce, light soy sauce, sugar, salt, and cornstarch. Mix until all the cornstarch dissolves, then add cooking oil, mix well then marinate for about 15 minutes.

Slice the top of a large tomato and scoop out the insides. Dice the tomato pulp then set aside. Chop scallion and ginger.

Heat up a skillet and add cooking oil, chopped ginger, and marinated beef. Saute until semi-cooked, then add dark soy sauce and cooking wine. Once the beef is covered in sauce, remove and set aside.

In the same skillet add diced tomato pulp, sugar, and salt. Saute for a bit before adding beef back into the skillet. Add cornstarch mixed with water to thicken the sauce. Stir in scallions for color.
