Not your traditional cabbage rolls! These Chicken Cabbage Rolls are made healthier by using minced chicken breast. Quick to make, easy to love — you can fill them with anything you like.

  • 8 oz. Chicken Breast
  • 3 oz. Cabbage
  • 0.25 tsp. Baking Soda
  • 2 cup Bowl Of Iced Water
  • 0.5 tsp. Salt
  • 0.5 tsp. White Pepper
  • 1 tbsp. Cooking Wine
  • 0.5 tbsp. Minced Ginger
  • 0.5 tbsp. Finely Chopped Green Onion
  • 0.5 cup Egg White
  • 0.5 tsp. Salt
  • 2 tbsp. Cornstarch Water (2 Tbsp Cornstarch Mixed With 1 Tbsp Water)

Finely mince the chicken breast.

In a mixing bowl, combine minced chicken, a pinch of salt, a pinch of white pepper, cooking wine, minced ginger, finely chopped green onion, and egg white, blend thoroughly. Set aside.

Carefully peel cabbage to keep the leaves intact. Cut to rectangle shapes, avoid the hard stem part.

In a cooking pot, add water and bring to boiling, add 1 teaspoon baking soda, put the cabbage rectangles in the boiling water for a few seconds.

Take them out and put them in the iced water.

Place softened the cabbage on a cutting board, put 1 tablespoon seasoned chicken paste at one short end.

Roll up the cabbage wrapper to the other end. Set aside.

Arrange the cabbage rolls on a plate, put the plate in a steaming basket. Steam for 15 minutes.

Pour the remaining liquid from the steamed rolls on the plate in a pan, and add the slurry to thicken.
