Easy and delicious Korean fried chicken recipe. Crispy chicken drumsticks are tossed in a sweet, spicy and savory sauce. A unique meal or snack!

Ingredients:
  • 7 oz. Chicken drumsticks
  • 3 cup Cooking oil for deep-fry
  • Marinade
  • 0.5 tsp. Salt (to taste)
  • 0.5 tsp. Black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tbsp. White wine
  • 1 large Egg
  • Coating
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Sweet rice flour
  • 1 cup Cornstarch
  • Sauce
  • 1 tbsp. Oil
  • 0.5 oz. Garlic, minced
  • 0.5 cup Korean chili sauce (Gochujang)
  • 0.33 cup Ketchup
  • 0.5 cup Orange juice
  • 1 tbsp. Sugar
  • 0.25 tsp. Salt (to taste)
  • 0.33 cup Honey

Make 3 cuts on the side of each chicken drumstick to the bone. This will help the marinade to penetrate and cook evenly when frying.

In a large bowl, mix and chicken with all the marinade ingredients. Set aside for 30 minutes.

In a large flat pan, mix the coating flour. Coat each chicken drumstick thoroughly.

In a frying pan with heated oil, deep-fry the chicken at 300°F/150°C for about 8~10 minutes until golden brown, turning once.

In a large skillet, add oil and minced garlic, cook for 15-20 seconds until fragrant. Then, add the rest of the sauce ingredients and cook for 2~3 minutes until thicken.

Add the fried chicken to the pan and mix well with the sauce.
