Recipe
PRE TIME: 10 min
COOKING TIME: 15 min
TOTAL TIME: 25 min
3 SERVING
Ingredients:
  • 10 oz. Okra
  • For the okra
  • Salt
  • 1 qt. Water
  • 1/4 tsp. Baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp. Salt
  • Sauce
  • 1 tbsp. Cooking Oil
  • 2 tbsp. Mashed Garlic
  • 2 tbsp. Green Onion, Chopped
  • 1 tbsp. Light Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp. Sesame Oil
  • 1/2 tbsp. Maggi Seasoning
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. Water
  • 1 Facing Heaven Pepper, sliced
Directions:
1
Cut the okra into bite-size pieces.
2
Next, we boil a pot of hot water. Put in a little baking soda and salt before the water boils. Let’s put the okra in and blanch them quickly for about 10 seconds.
3
After the okra is heated, the color will be more green. We then pick up the okra and put it in ice water. Then, we’ll drain it and put it on a plate.
4
In a large skillet, let’s turn on the heat to medium. Drizzle a little oil in the pan, and it must be hot! This will bring out the aroma of the garlic paste. Try to use the oil with a higher smoke point, like olive, grapeseed, or avocado oil. Turn off the heat. Add our chopped garlic, green onion, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Continue to cook until simmer. Then, add sliced hot chili pepper and turn off the heat.
5
Now, let’s drain the okra and put it on a serving plate. Pour your prepared sauce over the okra.
6
It’s really refreshing and the flavor is well infused. Enjoy!
