This impressively looking Wool Roll Bread is soft and fluffy and incredibly delicious. It is a pillowy dough stuffed with raisins, as the dough rises and bakes, the final result resembles rolls of wool. Worth trying.

Ingredients:
  • 300 g Bread flour
  • 30 g Sugar
  • 3 g Sea salt
  • 4 tsp. Condensed Milk
  • 1 Large Whole egg
  • 1/2 cup Lukewarm milk
  • 4 g Instant yeast
  • 35 g Unsalted Butter
  • 40 g Raisin, soaked for 4 hours
Directions:

Mix the flour with sugar and salt. Add condensed milk and the egg.

Mix the milk with instant yeast. Add this mix to the flour and mix it until homogenized.

Add butter to the dough and knead until the dough is not sticking to the bowl. Let the dough rest for 1 hour at room temperature.

Soak the raisins for 4 hours.

Degas the dough and divide it into 5 parts. Create small balls from these parts. Let them rest at room temperature for 15 minutes.

Roll out the dough to an oval shape. Cut half of the dough into small strips.

Add the raisins to the half that has not been cut. Fold it and start to roll from the upper side down to the side that has been cut.

Add these rolls to a round baking dish to the sides. Let it rise for an hour at room temperature.

Milk wash and bake at 340 °F / 170 °C for 17-20 minutes.
