Ingredients:
  • Dough:
  • 0.7 cup Milk
  • 1 tbsp. Sugar
  • 1 tsp. Dry yeast
  • 4 tbsp. Oil
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 12.6 oz. Soft flour
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • Stuffing:
  • 5.2 oz. Hard cheese
  • 5.2 oz. Feta cheese
  • 5.2 oz. Ham
  • 1 tsp. Oregano
  • 1 tsp. Parsley
  • 1.7 oz. Sausage
Directions:

In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and dry yeast. Stir well and let it sit for a few minutes until frothy.

Add oil and egg to the yeast mixture and whisk until well combined.

Gradually add the flour and salt to the wet ingredients, stirring until a soft and sticky dough forms.

Cover the bowl with a cloth and let the dough rise for 40 minutes until soft and sticky.

Prepare the Stuffing: In a separate bowl, mix together grated hard cheese, crumbled feta cheese, diced ham, diced sausage, oregano, and parsley until well combined.

Take 2-3 tablespoons of stuffing that we will use as bread topping later.

After the dough has risen, lightly dust a work surface with flour and gently knead the dough. Shape it into a ball.

Flatten the dough into a circle with a diameter of about 11 inch/28-30 cm.

Take a portion of the stuffing mixture and shape it into a small ball. Place it in the center of the dough circle.

Enclose the Filling: Lift the edges of the dough around the filling and pinch them together to enclose the stuffing completely.

Ensure there are no gaps or openings.

Sprinkle a little flour on top of the dough and gently press down to flatten it into a bread shape, about 1 inch/2 cm thick.

Place the bread on the prepared baking tray.

Brush the surface of the bread with beaten egg yolk. Sprinkle 2-3 tablespoons stuffing mixture on top of the bread.

Allow the stuffed bread to rest for 10 minutes. Preheat the oven to 392°F (200°C)

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.

Once baked, remove the stuffed bread from the oven and let it cool slightly. Slice and serve the bread warm.
