TOTAL TIME: 20 min
4 SERVING
Ingredients:
  • 5.2 oz. Almonds
  • 0.5 oz. Sugar
  • 1 Can Condensed milk
  • 3.5 oz. Chocolate
  • 0.17 cup Vegetable oil
  • 0.35 oz. Coconut flakes
Directions:
1
Blanch and Peel Almonds: Start by immersing the almonds in boiling water for 3 minutes. This process will make it easier to peel them.
2
Drain the water and peel the almonds. The skins should come off easily after blanching.
3
Roast Almonds with Sugar: Place the peeled almonds in a pan and sprinkle sugar over them. Roast the almonds and sugar together, stirring frequently, until the almonds are evenly coated with the caramelized sugar. Be careful not to burn the sugar.
4
Grind the Almonds: Transfer the caramelized almonds to a food processor and grind them until they turn into a coarse powder.
5
Cook Condensed Milk: Pour the condensed milk into a pan and cook it over medium heat. Stir continuously until the condensed milk thickens and no longer sticks to the pan.
6
Combine Almonds and Condensed Milk: Add the ground almonds to the condensed milk in the pan and mix well.
7
Set the Mixture: Prepare a dish by coating it with a little vegetable oil and lining it with parchment paper. Pour the almond and condensed milk mixture into the dish. Press it down firmly with a glass to form an even layer. Let the mixture cool in the fridge until it sets.
8
Cut the set almond mixture into bite-sized pieces.
9
Prepare Chocolate Coating: Melt the chocolate in a bowl set over a pot of hot water. Add vegetable oil to the melted chocolate and mix well for a smooth consistency.
10
Stir in the coconut flakes into the melted chocolate mixture.
11
Coat Almond Bites: Dip each piece of the almond mixture into the chocolate, ensuring it's fully coated. Place the chocolate-coated bites on a tray.
12
Chill and Enjoy: Refrigerate the almond chocolate bites until the chocolate coating has set. Once set, your Almond Chocolate Bites with Coconut Flakes are ready to be enjoyed!
