Tender, juicy and rich, this Black Pepper Beef Stir Fry is easy to make and goes perfectly with steamed rice.

Ingredients:
  • 1 lb. Beef flank steak
  • Marinade
  • 1 tbsp. Ground black pepper
  • 0.25 cup Soy sauce
  • 1 count Egg
  • 1 tbsp. Corn Starch
  • 1 tbsp. Cooking oil
  • 2 oz. Chopped onion
  • 2 oz. Chopped red bell pepper
  • 1 oz. Minced garlic
  • 2 oz. Minced celery
  • 2 oz. Minced carrot
  • 1 oz. Minced cilantro
  • 1 tbsp. Soy sauce
  • 0.5 tbsp. Oyster sauce
  • 0.5 tbsp. Sugar
  • 1 tsp. Ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp. Cooking oil
  • 0.5 count Lemon
  • 2 cup Water
  • 2 tbsp. Cornstarch Water (2 Tbsp Cornstarch Mixed With 1 Tbsp Water)
  • 1 cup Julienned green onion

Cut beef into about 1.5-inch wide large strips along the grain,

T hen thinly slices each strip into slices against the grain.

Mix beef slices with marinade seasonings: ½ tsp/2g ground black pepper, 1tbsp/15ml soy sauce, 1tbsp/10g starch, and 1 egg. Mix well. Set aside.

Cut the red bell pepper into triangle-shaped pieces, and onion into the square-shaped pieces. Cut the green onion into shreds.

Mince the celery, parsley, carrot, and garlic in turns.

In a wok over high heat, add 2 tablespoon oil and stir-fry the beef until no more pink color, remove from wok, set aside.

Return the wok to heat, add a tablespoon oil, add the red bell pepper and onion, stir-fry for until fragrant. Remove from wok, set aside.

Return the wok to heat, add the following ingredients in turns. minced garlic, minced celery, minced carrot, minced parsley, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and ground black pepper. Add a little water and stir-fry to mix well.

Add the previously stir-fried beef and onion into the wok. Add a pinch of ground black pepper, squeeze the lemon juice, the julienned green onion, slurry to thicken, and quickly stir fry until ingredients are evenly coated with thickened sauce.
